Moving On: Still refusing to deliver my property or refund me in full
On 09 February 2018, I posted the review below about Christa Ehlers, the franchisee in the Boland area. She has not responded via Hellopeter or Whatsapp to date and has still not delivered my paid-for items or reimbursed me to the full amount.

Moving On: Refusal to deliver items paid for in July 2017
The first time I bought items from Christa Ehlers, the franchisee of Moving On Boland, was in September 2016. It was a 3-piece wall unit and I had to make my own arrangements for collection in Paarl and delivery to Strand. She struck me as well organised and professional.
A month or two later, in order to increase the scope of her business, she had organised with an acquaintance of hers, Ronald, to deliver items purchased from Moving On Boland at a fee agreed upon by both parties. This made buying from her easy as she would assist in organising delivery.
During the months that followed, her business grew and with the added scope of her business, her professionalism decreased dramatically and her admin became very sloppy. She would not reserve items when asked to, or would reserve items and then just not confirm per e-mail or Whatsapp that she had set them aside.
In June and July 2017, I purchased quite a number of items from Christa Ehlers and paid thousands of rands for them. Among these were 3 framed Egyptian papyri which I bought at R750.00 each. However, when she removed these framed papyri from the wall of the client's home, she broke one of them and it had to be reframed. As one of her family members is in the framing business, she said that she would ask him to reframe it. In her possession, she also had a box with a number of smaller items to the value of R760.00 which I had paid for. She said that she would deliver this box with items personally together with the newly reframed papyrus.
Over the past 7 months, I have repeatedly contacted Christa Ehlers and she is always full of excuses as to where my property is. In January 2018, I involved the Moving On franchisor, Richard ********** and cell ***) in an attempt to get my property from his franchisee. This resulted in a partial reimbur*****t of R310.00 paid on 02 February 2018 for the items for which I paid R1,510.00. Despite contacting Richard over the past week per e-mail, all my e-mails have been ignored.
Be very careful when dealing with Moving On, and especially with Christa Ehlers of the Moving On Boland franchise. Under no circumstances pay in advance for any items, but only pay her upon collection yourself or make an arrangements for COD.
Addendum: As on 13 February 2018, neither Richard nor Christa Ehlers has responded to this negative review via this public forum, e-mail or Whatsapp. Christa is still refusing to deliver my property. Richard as franchisor has also refused to address any of these issues raised.
Marilie, Christa has attempted to call you on numerous occasions. Apparently you prefer to use the public arena for your complaints rather than deal with the person you are complaining about. Here is Christa's response.
Her refers to you, the complainant, I is Christa.
"I paid R310-00 into her account, made up as follows:
She paid R750-00 for three framed Egyptian papyrus and not R750-00 each as advertised on the website. She was not prepared to pay R750-00 each and offered R250-00 each (see attached email).
One of the pictures has been knocked off the wall by the seller's packers, after which I said I can try to replace the glass by a family member. It took too long to have it done, therefore the R250-00 for the one picture has been refunded.
The R60-00 difference is for a small box with EPNS containers that got lost between the guy that offered transport and the seller's house. The box has been found, but I also decided to refund the R60-00.
Marilie van der Walt paid R4860-00 for items purchased from Mr Delsink in Strand (just one street down from where she lives).
The amount made up as follows:
Three decent furniture pieces (R3750 for the three: Imbuia Ball and Claw Desk, Solid Oak Dining table, Rhodesian teak ball and claw sideboard server) Advertised for R6000-00 initially on the website. It was the last items left, so I negotiated with Mr Delsink and he accepted R4500-00 for the three furniture pieces plus the three Egyptian papyrus pictures.
Three Egyptian papyrus (R750-00 for the three) (Originally advertised at R750-00 each)
Ornamental dragons (R300) (Paid on behalf of her assistant, Monique)
EPNS (R60)
I collected some small items, Kenwood etc from another seller's house for Ms Van der Walt and when we met at Mr Delsink's house for viewing of the furniture pieces and the papyrus, it was handed over to her. Her assistant, Monique, took the boxes out of my vehicle and put it in her vehicle. My assistant, Charmain, accompanied her and can confirm this.
The mover delivered the items to her house, few metres away, after which I battled to get the payment out of her. I have proof of everything. In fact, the effort to get the payment out of her, cost me money.
If Ms Van der Walt does not have anything to proof the contrary and does not accept the refund/payment I made, I am prepared to take the matter further."

Please take note that I, Mrs. C Ehlers, will no longer use this forum for discussing the current issue with Ms. Van der Walt. I have been advised, as I hereby do, to refrain from entertaining Ms Van der Walt’s fabricated claims of dishonesty and poor professionalism.
My call logs reflect numerous attempts throughout January to contact Ms. Van der Walt with the intention to resolve the residing issue outside the court of law. However, following Ms. Van der Walt’s refusal to answer phone calls or to find a resolution via text message or email, I have decided to institute legal proceedings against Ms. Van der Walt. I will launch proceedings inter alia for defamation of Movingon’s reputation and infringement on my personality for the wrongful and inaccurate claims posted by Ms. Van der Walt on multiple social forums.
