Dishonest and unproffessional
Some of the furniture that they have is still outstanding, but no communication as to what, or how much the last couple of goods where sold for has been given, or what is left. It is my mother's furniture that we had to sell as she had to downscale quickly after her husband passed away and she was not in a good head space. I have been trying to work out what is left and if there is any more money owed for over 6 months. I am either ignored or strung along. I have been promised an email stating what was sold, for how much, and what is left, but still nothing. My calls are no longer answered and I feel completely disempowered as I am trying to deal with all of this from Australia. The last communication was that Christa (the lady dealing with and selling the furniture) was going to write an e-mail detailing what she has promised previously, as well as invoice for her travel and storage of the furniture. This was never in the agreement, but still I haven't received any e-mail. I find this completely unprofessional and dishonest.

Since I did not deliver a service directly to you, I feel that you are not in a position to make these claims.
The Movingon process works as follows:
Seller contacts me, we set a secondhand selling price, items are advertised on the website on behalf of seller, buyers contact me and make arrangements to buy and collect the furniture. Since we are not secondhand dealers and the sell the furniture on behalf of the sellers at a commission of 20%, you can understand that I am in no position to issue invoices for furniture sold.
In this event, your sister contact me, we agreed on selling prices. Buyers pitched at the house to collect the items they reserved off the website, only to hear on site that some of the items are no longer available. Consequently I had to turn my buyers away empty-handedly. All of the other furniture in the house was sold and cash handed over to your sister. The selling of the furniture in the house on the day, actually went well and everyone seemed happy with the amount generated.
The items that were reserved at a good price, was the pleather Lazy-Boy, lounge suite, wood side table and bed. The items were cancelled and your sister told me that they will be storing it.
After a few months, she contacted me to sell the furniture and told me that a lady called Glynnis will make arrangements with me.
I went to the so-called storage facility, only to find a smallholding with rusted containers and the furniture stuffed in a very dirty and wet container, mattress in long grass with urine marks on it. Have photos as proof and also witnesses.
The wood table was stacked on top of the Lazy Boy, which made marks in the pleather , the lounge suite had rusty watermarks on it, knobs on the wood table broken off and the mattress with watermarks and urine marks. I paid the mover to take the furniture to his place and store it there until I could find buyers willing to purchase furniture in this condition.
Clearly you can understand that a pleather Lazy Boy recliner that initially could have been sold for R1200 in the condition it was while in the house, cannot reach the same price with marks on it. Same applies to the lounge suite that was initially listed for R2000 and the bed at R1000.
Glynnis asked me to make arrangements to deliver a chair to your mother's place, which is 60 km away. The mover delivered the chair to your mother's place, the other furniture was sold and all moving and storage costs deducted (R950-00).
The balance has been paid over to your Mom's account.
There is one wooden side table left. Copper and brass items that have been paid cash, have been returned as it proved to not be valuable at all. An amount of R800 (after commission) has been paid over to your sister. Please advise where it can be dropped off.
I regard this matter to be concluded and I would appreciate it if you could accept this.
