Needs improvement!! Buyer beware
Used to be my favourite website to buy items from but recently i have become fustrated in dealing with some "agents". Deals are cancelled at the last mintute, some items bought are "missing" on the day of collection!
Photos are misleading, no description of size or damage!
Please request agents to disclose more details and atleast 3 photos.
Would be nice to also know which agents are able to assist with me sending courier to collect without crazy charges of R150 to place it in a box!!

09 Dec 2024, 19:56To add, I noticed that items are listed and then dissapear. Are back door deals being done with their favourites. I noticed that some silver items at a Capetown sale have suddenly been removed and makes me wonder if its not the same R5000 item Pam is talking about. Please fix your terms and conditions of sales. Customers moving must agree to sell the items, no take backs. Purchases must be honoured and no "auction" type deals !!

Sorry i cannot see your real name as you have used a alias name and cannot address you correctly.
As mention to our response in Pam's complaint the items do not belong to Moving on. Please confirm which agent you have used whereby items were missing on the day. You have not specified which items were missing or when this occurred making it very difficult to respond to this allegation. With regards to the misleading information which you have also not specified which agent or item, in this regard sometimes items are added by a seller and the agent is not aware of the damage or what condition the item is in. We do ask the seller to declare any damage however we are not always informed. Should a buyer collect an item and the damage was not declared we are always available to discuss the matter. While you are shopping on the Moving on website you are also welcome to contact the agent should you have any questions or concerns regarding the item i know that many of our buyers have contact myself and Sam to further get information and we have obliged. With regards to you sending couriers to collect items as you may be aware the couriers cannot confirm the collection times and this could pose a problem as many agents have a specified time for collections. With regards to the collection fee please note that we are not collection and delivery service as stated on our website you will need to collect the items. If the agent collects items for free and does not charge can you imagine the amount of buyers that would request this service, thereby not making it viable to actually do what the agents are paid to by having a Moving on sale. We are sure that this is why the agent that you have mentioned has put this in place to prevent people from always requesting that their goods be collected. There are also expenses that incur when placing items in a box for example buying boxes, wrapping and packing bubble wrap or paper and tape to close the boxes. The agents also take the responsibility for collecting items thereby putting more pressure on the Moving on agent.
I am sure that all of your issues that you have would have been discussed with you if you had called to discuss your complaints.
We trust that you will be happy with this response and will in future call agents to discuss any issues.
Thank you
