Absolute ************: STAY AWAY

Without doubt the worst, most *******, ****my removal firm I have ever had the misfortune of using. I was initially quoted $109 (inclusive) for two men and a truck big enough to move a 3 bedroom house. When they arrived in a truck small enough to be driven on a car licence, before starting the job they made me sign a document stating they had started the job at 7am (it was 9.30am), because apparently it took them two and a half hours to get to me from there Auckland based depot (I live in central Auckland so don't believe this for a second). At this time I also questioned why the truck they had brought was so small. They were adament it was big enough to get the job done. Sure enough, I was right, it was too small and a second trip was required (in rush hour trafficon a Friday afternoon) meaning the job took 4-5 hours longer than it should have done, and of course they billed me for this. Where things really took a turn however, and showed I was dealing with professional ******* artists was when they were about to unload the second trip from the truck, their boss rung and told them not to unload anything until they had been paid for the job. The bill consisted of the following unnecessary charges: - 4 Hours at $109 per hour to get the truck to and from the depot - 3 charges of $50 to move appliances (what an earth is the point of employing a removal service if they don't move appliances for you). Mention of this was hidden in the small print of the document they made me sign at the begining. - 2 charges of $100 for going up steps at the back of each property, when they could have easily gone through the front of either property, neither of which had stairs. Again this charge was hidden in the small print and using the stairs at each property was totally unnecessary. - THE ABSOLUTE BEST ONE, a $150 charge for making the second trip (on top of the extra 4-5 hours it took) when they were at fault for bringing a truck to small (THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY PART OF THE RORT) - GST on top of the total amount, when the quote they had provided was inclusive of GST They were demanding $2000 to move a 3 bedroom house 10km up the road, when we had done all the packing and even left one bedroom set of furniture and the sofas at the old property. Things got so nasty we ended up having to call the police. Please anyone reading this, stay well clear of this ***boy operation, they have one aim and that is to **** as much money out of you as they possibly can.
