Refund for Weekend paid

I had a booking for a weekend in July 2020, which I paid for in January 2020 already, but because of the Lock-down could not fulfil this booking and subsiquently cancelled it before the time. I have been trying to get refunded since then and the owner always promise it will be refunded, but this never materializes...So, I'm now going to take the legal route in order to get my money back which I worked hard for!! If anyone else experienced the same, kindly share here please?
