Review Title: Unacceptable Lack of Transparency and Communication

I contacted Moving Mountains on 30/03/2025 and paid R2300 for my move from Blouberg to Plattekloof. My original moving date was scheduled for 19 April 2025, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I rescheduled the move to the end of April. I want to clarify: I never cancelled the service—I simply adjusted the dates. If I had cancelled, I would have understood any cancellation fees; however, since I only modified the moving dates, these extra charges should not apply.

On 13 April 2025, my new landlord informed me that an earlier move-out was required due to a new tenant moving in, prompting me to request assistance from Moving Mountains for an expedited move. Instead of offering a solution, on 14 April 2025, Regan notified me that I would incur additional costs as if I had cancelled the service—a cost I was never informed about beforehand. This approach is not only unfair but also highlights a severe lack of proactive communication.

The entire experience was marred by unprofessional behavior and a lack of transparency. Their failure to clearly outline any extra fees before enforcing them forced me into making last-minute alternative arrangements, causing unnecessary disruption and financial loss. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Moving Mountains and will not be using their services in the future.
