Mountain Movers - Disloyal service providers

On 10th Jan 20, I hired Mountain Movers to do a furniture removal within the same complex. I dealt with Gareth on telephone and whatsapp. I sent through a list of items needing to be moved. Dustin & Nipi were the 2 guys sent to do my removal. Dustin was extremely unprofessional and demanded more money be paid for removing a side cupboard which was attached to a headboard. He then had to move my double door fridge, which he was very well aware of, as he had previously moved this same fridge. Dustin then said that he needed R250 more to take off the doors of the fridge as it will not for through the exit doors. I immediately called Gareth whom I initially spoke to (seems like the owner) & questioned the increasingly high figures of un*****ing a fridge door and headboard cupboard. Gareth said that it was not charged for. Bare in mind that Gareth now said that he will charge R150. So between Dustin (the removal guy) & Gareth ***ner) - the removal guy seems to be making some extra cash on the side. He charges customers in elevated amount for extras and bags presumably bags the rest. When I questioned Dustin about the price difference, he says he makes the price as he is on site. Absolutely unprofessional. I agreed to pay the rate that Gareth charged. All parties were in agreement. Dustin decides to move my fridge without removing the doors, damaging the sides. The wires at the top of the fridge became loose & the digital section of my fridge stopped working. I could not get the alarm to stop. They then lose the *****s that were taken out from the headboard cupboards and leave the cupboards standing without being fixed back on. He then demands a further payment to ***** the cupboard back to the headboard. I refused as this was not what they initially said to me. The removal guys damaged my couch. They did not put a cover or blanket before placing my light tan coloured couch in their dirty truck. The couches became black and stained throughout the one side as they had just pushed it into the truck. They still ignored me when I pointed this out to them. I called Gareth to advise him on what transpired. he then tells me to call the removal guys myself. I was told by Dustin that I should go to the shop and buy some nails to put my cupboards back together with the headboard and he insisted that he did not do any damages to my fridge. Gareth messaged me to say that he will send someone back the following Monday to iron out the issues. He obviously never kept his word. I called on Tuesday, he ignored my calls. I whatsapped him and he then responds by saying that I did not take an insurance. In actual fact, I was not given a contract, I was not advised about any insurance neither did I sign an other documentation with Mountain Movers. The amount for the removal was discussed telephonically and via whatsapp - of of which proof I still have. After asking Gareth for the next few days to sort out the issues at hand, he became verbally abusive on whatsapp, he started to become aggressive and arrogant and blocked me on whatsapp. I had to pay an electrician to sort out my fridge and hire another handy man to fix on the cupboards. I will not recommend the use of Mountain Movers as they are unprofessional, they seem to manage their removals without any legalities in place and further to that, for an owner and supervisor (Gareth and Dustin) to behave in such an arrogant and disloyal manner, you will regret utilizing these services and experiencing the damages and horror I was exposed to. Please thoroughly look for a reputable removal company, ensure that your contract with them is signed, make a clear note of everything that needs to be removed (count each box and appliance etc) and ensure you take an insurance for the removal. I will not recommend the services of Mountain Movers.
