Think twice before buying a Nissan vehicle

My car was booked in for a service at Motus Nissan Tygervalley on the 7th Oct 2024. It was delivered at the dealership and all necessary documents were signed. The service advisor Sidney Permal phoned me on the 8th Oct asking me if the cam belt was replaced and I told him it was done. A week later he sent me a quotation including the replacement of the cam belt. I queried this and he told me it has to be done because the one done earlier in the year has oil and cannot be washed. On the 15th Oct I accepted the quotation for service, replacement of power steering pipe and crank seal. He indicated they ordered parts from JHB. I waited for the car without any update until I asked him what is happening. Only then he informed me they are still waiting for parts. I asked to speak to someone in charge and he told me he will ask Mr Burton Cummings, workshop manager to call me. I could not wait for that and phoned mr Cummings myself yesterday the 23rd Oct wanting to understand what is happening at Nissan, why I was not given a courtesy car if they could not finish the repairs on my car on time. Mr Cummings advised me to phone Nissan head office to complain. I asked him why I should do that when he's there as the person in charge of the workshop. He then indicated they could arrange a courtesy car but I'd have to pay R2000 for them to hire the car for me. I told him this is shocking, why should I have to pay for their own delays. I gave him an example of Audi where they gave me a courtesy car for 3 weeks without charge while waiting for a part from Germany. I asked him what is wrong with Nissan, why must we pay. He then asked for my drivers license which I sent to Sidney. Once again I heard nothing from them and followed up today, the23rd Oct. Sidney informed me they have the parts. I asked him when am I getting the car, and he just told me he is pushing for tomorrow. There is no guarantee I'll get the car tomorrow and it has been with Nissan for 3 weeks now and I'm stuck without a car and paying Uber to work and to do any other activities requiring a car. This is totally unacceptable. This behavior is actually discouraging me from buying their vehicles.
