DO NOT BUY AN AUDI!!!
There is no doubt that Audi makes good-looking cars with great performance BUT, god forbid your Audi breaks down and gets taken to the Audi Bryanston workshop or you have to deal with Audi customer service. In 2019 My vehicle was booked in for service at Audi Fourways currently known as Audi Bryanston, after collecting my vehicle I immediately felt that my vehicle was low on power and had difficulty in starting the vehicle in the mornings. I returned the vehicle to Audi Fourways where they checked it and diagnosed that there was an issue with my car’s water pump and my vehicle had infected fuel in the vehicle and that was the problem. I took a sample of the “problematic fuel” and sent it in for testing at BP whilst Audi Fourways removed my cars fuel tank and “cleaned” the fuel system. BP found that the fuel sample was not infected The vehicle was released and I discovered that the issue was still not fixed. After 3 more visits and multiple diagnosis, I was informed that the timing kit needed to be replaced, I agreed. After repairs, my vehicle was released to me and seemed to be fine, I assumed that the saga was over. Fast forward to 2021, I decided to try a different dealership and sent my vehicle in for a service at Audi Rivonia but, 2 days after the service, the vehicle would not start at all. Déjà vu, it was happening all over again. My vehicle was returned to Audi Rivonia for diagnosis and repair however, I was informed that the repair would cost me more than R76k to repair as the timing kit would need to be replaced because the timing chain had stretched and bent all the valves. BUT IT WAS RECENTLY REPLACED, HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??? It was then that I discovered that Audi Fourways never replaced the timing kit, instead, they replaced the water pump. Now the part that I thought was replaced has failed and I am left with an R76K repair expense. Surely this gross negligence, a failure to follow standard operations procedures by Audi Fourways/Bryanston. If the repair was done when the problem was picked up by Audi this would NOT have happened. The dealerships have been giving me “the run-around” and desperately trying to cover up their negligence. Fed up, I decided to escalate to Audi Head Office where I was assisted by a customer service manager by the name of Thandi. She was NO HELP AT ALL. Never returned any calls, never had feedback when I called, investigated, or made any effort to resolve the issue. Instead, she told me that the dealerships are independently owned and that they (AUDI) could only mediate dialogue between client and dealership. Thandi from Audi and Loren Naidu from Audi Fourways/Bryanston is the worst customer service representatives I have come across.
