disgraceful service

On Wednesday 22nd June 2016, I went to Motozone based in Midrand (nearby Boulders) in search for new brake pads for my Fiat panda 2009 model. I arrived at Motozone at 16:46pm just as they were about to close. I informed the sales person of the brake pads I was looking for and he acknowledged that he has the brake pads suitable for my car. He then brought the brake pads to me and requested that I pay an amount of R380 for them. He requested that the transaction be cash and not an electronic one. I then went to the nearest ATM to withdraw the requested amount, the money was handed over and I was given brake pads from the brand 'messi' with the code 'MP 900 ' I asked him if this was the correct size and he reassured me that it will be a perfect fit.

On Friday I dropped off my car at Menlyn auto in Pretoria for the brake pads to be fitted to my car. To my disappointment, I was informed that the brake pads I bought were not compatible with my car. I was left with no other option but to install brake pads from Menlyn auto which were worth R900.

On Saturday 25th June, I drove to Motozone from Pretoria with hope to get a refund for the incorrect goods that were sold to me. I spoke to Maria and told her that I would like a cash refund. She told me that “they don't usually give cash refunds what they do is give credit to purchase at the store” .I told her that I don’t see any fairness on been given credit whereas I had to pay cash. She told me return on Tuesday to get the cash refund because her manager was not available.

On Tuesday the 28th of June I returned to Motozone and asked to see Maria. I was told that Maria had just left. I then requested for an alternative person and I was referred to Robert. Before I could to speak to Robert, I was approached by George who refused to tell his position at Motozone he also refused to tell me his surname nor his business card. I told him what happened and that I was informed to return for my cash refund; he told me that they don't give cash refunds if they did they would be "out of business " I told him as a customer it is my right to get a refund. He told me he doesn't care all he can do is give me credit to purchase at the store. Mind you - there was no one who informed me of sudden “No refund policy” when I made the purchase. Motzone’s till slip does not say anything about refunds, nor is there a clear sign on their premises informing us about “No refunds”. I told him there's nothing for me to buy there, all I wanted was my money to be returned. He then rudely said I am wasting his time and mine, he turned his back on me and walked away. I made a call to my father and explained to him what had just took place and asked George to speak to my father, this is where he refused to speak to him and bluntly swore at me and told me to "**** off" .George made me feel like utter trash and took no interest to meet my needs

I am disgusted and shocked by such treatment. If this is how George treats all his customers I think he deserves to be out of business. I have wasted my petrol for two trips to go Motozone I've wasted my working time as well as my money. I have been humiliated, sworn at made to feel inferior
