Very Poor Service
Recently I took my vehicle for a service at the Bluff branch of Hyundai on Edwin Swales. The vehicle was booked in on the Wednesday at 07:30 but was there the previous day to make the booking. I informed the service booking person the the service will be under the service plan with motorvaps. He acknowlaged it and told me that the service advicer will contact the service plane provider on the day of the booking. After the service was done at approx. 15:00 the afternoon I receive a call to state that the service was done and that I had to pay roughly +R4k cash. I was shocked and sked why should I pay cash when I have a Service Plan. The person on the line tells me that she was not informed that I was doing ot through a Service Plan. Never the less she contacted my service plan Motorvaps and submitted the claim. Motorvaps allegely told them that the will respond by close of business day which meant that my veihicle will not be releast the Wednesday. The next day, Thursday, I contacted the Hyundai workshop at approx. 09:00 to find out what time will my vehicle will be releast and I was told that they have not received a response from Motorvaps. I contacted motorvaps to find out what was the problem and was informed that there was an issue with the claim. The say that Hyundai had already claimed for a service for the same milage a month earlier. I requested a copy of the invoice and was later told that they apologise for the error and said that they will process the claim immediately. At 15:00 I contacted Hyundai to find out when I will be receiving my vehicle and they instead send me a message from Motorvaps that the claim will be paid by the close of business. At 16:30 I get a call from Hyundai to state that the claims not yet been paid and so they cannot release the vehicle to me. On Friday approx 10:30 in the morning I get a call fro Hyundai to say that they have finally received payment from Motorvaps and that there is a shortfall of +R1000 because certain items are not covered under the claim. The whole saga has left me deflate and R1000 out of pocket something I did not plan for. Please do due dilegence when dealing with such Service Plan Operators
