Stay clear, you will only be disappointed. Not worth your money!

Mercedes in Fores**** advised me to take out a plan with Motorvaps. I took out a Premier Service plan with 3 services or 3 years costing R35 719.25. It was paid in full the day when I bought the vehicle. As per the procedures I called Motorvaps in advance to warn them of a service coming up for the insured vehicle. The Merc dealership send them the quote for approval. Most of the quote were revoked. We found out that they only cover the engine and not the gearbox. The following are covered: 1.1.1 Spark Plugs 1.1.2 Engine Oil 1.1.3 Air Filter 1.1.4 Oil Filter 1.1.5 Sump Plug 1.1.6 Diesel Filter (Where applicable) 1.1.7 Petrol Filter (Where applicable) 1.1.8 Pollen Filter 1.1.9 Brake Fluid 1.1.10 Consumables up to R80 1.1.11 Engine Cleaner up to R25 1.1.12 Labour costs for the Service as per MotorVaps 1.2. Cam Belt is included only if the Cam belt option has been selected and noted on the Schedule as being covered. 1.3. Only services at the standard recommended manufacturer intervals measured in kilometers or time. 1.4. A variance of 1500km or 30 days will be allowed. Any services outside of this will affect the validity of the plan. 1.5. This plan does not replace any factory service plans, but will add to it in terms of time and kilometers for a specified duration as discussed and agreed by the owner of the vehicle and MotorVaps. 1.6. We may request the servicing centre to also perform an inspection and report on the following items and report these to you and to MotorVaps (Not covered):  Carburetor  Cooling systems  Electronic systems  Electric compression  Road test  Report on defects  Diagnostic test – if available  Drive shaft

 CV joints  Propshaft  Ball joints  Shock absorbers  Lower and upper control arms  Wheel bearings and hubs  Differentials: Half shafts  Steering racks: Manual and Power

1.7. Any work not specifically covered by this plan will be paid by you.

Please note, it is not covered! Not mentioned here under service or not covered is the gearbox... The total bill for the service was R10275.90. They paid less than half as the rest was to check brakes and the gearbox. They even refused to pay the labour to remove of the wheels to check the brakes.
