Shocking service!!!
The above claim has been rejected on the following grounds: “ You must service your vehicle according to the original manufacturer’s service frequency and specifications - For your vehicle, the frequency is every 15000kms or 12 months, whichever occurs first. You have a leeway of 1 500km or 30 days of the service due date. As the services were not carried out as per the manufacturer's specifications (the interval has been exceeded by more than the 1500km grace allowed) the claim has been rejected.”
I wish to inform you that I have submitted the service records which are the same records submitted in July where a different claim was approved. Since then the vehicle was used for 1 month and then broke down where it has been sitting in the workshop for 3 months ( September, October and November) without being used - waiting for a price on a motor. The precedent that the previous claim was approved under the same conditions stands testimony to the request for a review on the rejection of the claim.
14 July – 1st claim approved: Service record per that attached (broken brake piston) 24 August – car broke down, towed to workshop (where it has been without being used) 24 November – claim submitted 25 November 09h31 – request for service records 25 November 14h10 – service records sent 25 November 14h22 – claim rejected (12 minutes after records were sent??)
This type of thing puts to bed my views on insurance!!! Quick to take your money but never want to pay out when you need them to!! Motor warranties are a waste of money
