Saved from extra damage

I heard a weird sound coming from my engine I think. Stopped the car immediately, and to be rather safe than sorry, I called roadside assistance. They came to check it out and told me that i had run into some mechanical engine trouble, and it's good that I called. I registered my claim and within a few days it was repaired. I was told that had I kept driving, I would have attained additional damage, so thank you for the advice Motorvaps.
