MotorVaps is one of the worst short term insurance companies. I won’t advice anyone to take out a policy with this company. B4 I booked my car in for a service, I called Motorvaps to confirm if I can and the lady actually told me to go ahead and do so. After the service has been done Motorvaps declined the claim and I have to pay for my service out of my own pocket. When I called in to try and claim for that service they told me that the only way they can help us” to upgrade the policy and that would cost a 75% increase if I had to upgrade. So I was left with - nine months premiums out of pocket and I have never skipped a payment/premium and a R1000.00 rands cancellation fee plus I had to go pay for my service which cost me R2088.73 This was not my fault as I called in and the consultant told me to go ahead and even send me a sms to confirm. After the service was done Motorvaps declined my claim. The couldn’t help unless I upgraded.
