Poor service from Motorvaps.

I took out a service plan in January this year and claimed on the 9th of May 2019 and all that was paid out was my premiums of R1140 and I paid the difference. Today 19th November I was told I need to upgrade my cover or pay R1000 cancellation fee and loose all my premiums to date. I don't owe this company a cent and I'm being threatened with lawyers already. Please assist.
