Failure to cover items included
I have to also agree with the many complaints listed relating to this extended warranty and would strongly advise customers NOT to take this. Even items specifically listed as covered they will not pay on. My husband also took the gold extended warranty and the clutch failed after just 2000kms driven. Their excuse being it was driver abuse, seriously after 2000kms by a 74 year old!!! We paid nearly R8000 for absolutely nothing!! The policy is supposed to be for 24 months and unlimited mileage.

We have looked in to your claim and feel that everything has been done according to the policy that you have with Motorvaps.
The policy that you have is for Sudden and unforeseen failure to specified components listed in the document. The policy also does not cover for negligent driving.
As per the report from Toyota and the photos submitted to us is it was very clear that there was no sudden and unforeseen failure. The damage was caused after excessive towing and the clutch was burnt out as a result. Therefore we stand by our decision of not paying for the claim.
