If you ever looking for a car maintenance plan

I would say think more than twice before considering taking one from Motorvaps

My police number SELECT- **********

I just had mine for 16 months now and let me tell you these people do everything in their power not to pay you if you do submit a claim

My first claim was in June 2016 when my cars lambda probes (Fuel sensors failed)

Firstly, they only wanted to pay for 1 and the cheapest one only even though my car shows two of these as parts. This took me 3 working days to get this sorted by them. I drive a Ford focus TDCI. They then agreed to pay me the full covered amount. After this I had to pay the account first then had to claim the agreed amount back from them. This is another process it eventually took me almost 4 weeks to get my full amount back from them after they guaranteed me they pay out weekly.

Every time you phone them with payments they make the biggest promises but nothing happens

Now in February 2017 I had another problem on my car and got it to the dealer with an engine malfunction and I took it to a Ford dealership. After diagnostics, they determined there was a hole in one of my turbo boost pipes and my water pump was leaking water.

My policy covers only the turbo assembly no hoses. But my water pump was covered in the policy for R5000 Ford quoted me R2800 for water pump. The outcome for my claim was the following

5.3 You are not covered for the following with regards to your vehicle: 5.3.20 Any wear and tear, fair wear and tear or any damage because of wear and tear.

This was mind blowing who sells you a dam maintenance plan on a vehicle but does not cover normal wear and tear. Is this not the general idea of maintenance plan to cover you of full or partial failure of a part?

This is just to make sure who will read this to make a better-informed decision on a maintenance plan from Motorvaps
