Dear Sir/Madam,
Motorite has reviewed your complaint and noted your comments – we wish to respond as follows:
The claim in contention was logged with Motorite on the 08/07/2016 at 59 933 km by Lindsay Saker – Midrand. The repairer reported the following items to be faulty that required repairs/replacement:
- Windscreen wipers - full set - authorised
- Front brake discs – brake shudder - authorised
- Fuel cut off valve - failure report and confirmation of failure for the n80 valve is still outstanding.
- Top shock mountings - authorised
- Right rear brake light globe - authorised
- Brake fluid service - authorised
- Air con re-gas - authorised
The normal claims procedure was followed whereby we requested the vehicles service record, written failure report, diagnostics, measurements and quotation.
08/07/16 16:59pm – Requested the repairer to please provide the run out measurements as you stated the vehicle has a brake shudder, also to advise as soon as the vehicle is back in the work shop as the client advised that he will be taking the vehicle for the weekend.
11/07/16 13:58pm – Requested the repairer to please send photos of the front brake discs as it was initially stated the there was a brake shudder on the vehicle, however the measurements are not for a brake shudder.
Please be advised that Motorite is aware of your situation and is treating the matter with utmost urgency. It is pertinent to remind you that in order for us to process a claim and assess it accordingly, in line with the agreed policy terms and conditions, we require all information detailing the causes of failure and the reported failure has to be reviewed as these determine the overall outcome of the claim. To the very beginning of the said claim, we have yet not received the requested failure report and confirmation of failure for the N80 valve reports to afford us enough leverage to assess this claim accordingly.
We however, are constantly in contact with your preferred dealership to supply the required. We can assure you that as soon as the said information is received, we shall keep you abreast and furthermore be able to make an informed decision.
Your patience and co-operation is highly valued.
Kind Regards
