Warranty cover non existent

I bought my gwm steed 5 the beginning of this year with 43400km.

I booked the vehicle in for a service Tuesday the 2nd may 2017 as it was due for the 60 000km service. The vehicle had 61230km.

The gearbox is completely gone and as all consumers know you take the vehicles in at the required servicing level in thus case at 60 000km.

Now motorite won't cover it because it doesn't fit their so called rules.

I have only had the vehicle between 43400km and 61230km and the gearbox is completely gone.

Imagine my surprise when motorite says they are not covering the gearbox. What Is the point of buying a second hand car with a warranty thinking you are covered in the event of a mechanical issue.

When you actually arnt covered.

I have a had a few vehicles and this is the first time I've ever heard of a gearbox going with in 60000km and definitely a first of a warranty not even wanting to cover.

No point of even paying for this warranty you don't get cover anyway.

Dear Madam,
Motorite has reviewed your complaint and have duly noted your comments.
Our records indicate that the claim in contention was logged with Motorite on the 10/05/2017 at 61 235 km by GWM – Edenvale. The repairer reported that your vehicle went in for no gear selection – bearings had collapsed. The normal claims procedure was followed whereby we requested the vehicles service record, written failure report and quotation.
It is important to note that as per the manufacturers specifications, your vehicle has a standard service interval of every 15 000 km or 12 months whichever occurs first with the applicable service leeway’s being 1 500 km or 30 days either side of the service parameter reached first, that being time or kilometres. Servicing and maintenance of your vehicle in line with the manufacturers specifications is of vital importance, to firstly, keep your policy valid and secondly to ensure the longevity of the vehicles mechanical components and the reasonable maintenance of the vehicle.
Our records indicate that upon receiving your vehicles service record we established that your vehicles last service was done very late, this service was late by 1 331 km over and above the allowed 1 500 km service leeway.
At this point Motorite proceeded to reject the claim in contention and suspend your policy in line with the policy terms and conditions.
In view of the matter – we remain of the opinion that the claim was rejected correctly in line with the policy terms and conditions.
Kind Regards
