Warranty claim unfulfilled
After spending a lot of money on a warranty with Motorite to ensure that any major mechanical problems would be fixed through claim payment, Motorite has found ways not to pay for my failed engine. As per the contract, all the services on the Jeep since I bought it have been on time and within the km limit. They have decided to only pay R2500 to fix a water pump, which did not cause the engine failure, but according to them it did so as not to pay to have the engine fixed. We have tried other options to resolve the issue to no avail.

Dear Sir,
Motorite has reviewed your complaint and noted your comments. Kindly note that your preferred repairer reported that your vehicle had overheated due to the water pump seizing - which in turn caused resultant damage to your engine. The policy wording refers: Damage, as well as breakdown caused to any part listed in clause 17, as a result of overheating, including cracked cylinder head(s) or engine failure, is covered under this Warranty, provided that the claim payable in relation to such part or damage will be limited to the amount stated under overheating in the limits of liability table.
In this instance Motorite authorized the maximum amount liable as per the policy terms and conditions and in line with the relevant liability table.
Motorite remains of the opinion that the claim was administered correctly and in line with the policy terms and conditions.
