Useless policy
I had my car serviced this morning and it was picked up that I have a bad engine mounting. <br> Now under any manufacturer warranty that is a replaceable and claimable part, but Motorite insist that it is not covered nor listed on their claimable items. They call it a wear and tear item. <br> Tires brakes and clutch even I'll agree on, not a part that is vital in vehicle safety and rigidity. It is a item that has a big knock-on affect on other components as well.<br> I was warned against this but still decided to take their pointless policy anyway.

Motorite have reviewed your complaint and wish to respond as follows:
The policy provides cover for the failure of specified mechanical and electrical components subject to the policy terms and conditions being adhered to whereby the applicable limits of liability apply. The mechanical breakdown policy is not only subject to exclusions but also subject to the terms and conditions being adhered to.
Unfortunately the gearbox mounting claimed for does not fall within the ambit of the warranty policy and a claim therefore cannot be entertained in this instance.
Motorite remains of the opinion that the claim was administered correctly and in line with the policy terms and conditions.
