Use of Non-Genuine Parts - Honda/Motorrite

I purchased a Motor Plan with Honda in 2013. In about December 2016, still on a Motor Plan, the battery was replaced.

In January 2019, I started experiencing problems with the battery. With the intention of replacing the battery two weeks ago I went to a battery center. The battery specialist advised the battery was not the original Honda battery that came with the new car. At that point I then actually realized that was the case, as I never really paid attention the replaced battery. I think it is both ********* and unprofessional that Honda and Motor rite should use non-genuine Honda parts. Mercedes prides itself in using only genuine parts. Very disappointing. If you are considering Honda and/or Motor rite. think carefully

Dear Sir,

Motorite has reviewed your complaint and duly noted your comments.

During our investigation of this complaint we established that the claim in contention was logged on the 14/10/2016 at 45 891 km for the replacement of the vehicles front wiper blades, the left front park light globe and battery of which was authorised in accordance with the plan terms and conditions.

However – we noted that the tax invoice received for payment clearly indicates we were invoiced for “battery-636” and duly paid.

Claims acted in accordance with what was requested for replacement at point of claim finalisation.

We hope the above clarifies.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience herein.
Kind Regards,
