Unhappy customer

Claim no: T445279 On the 23/06/2021 I called Motorite to inquire that my car ignition is locked I can't turn the key, I spoke to Treasure and asking him if is covered under warranty and he said yes is covered and he advised me to take the car to the RMI so I took my car to dealership and they send quotation to Motorite and they declined the claim they saying is not covered. I asked for telephone conversation recordings they said they can't give it to me. I'm not happy with the service I got from them. The management they don't want to talk to me they said Agent's Chasely. Treasure misleaded me with false information

Dear Sir,

We confirm that we have reviewed the merits of your Hello Peter complaint received on the 29/06/2021.

After a thorough review of your case, we noted that Motorite was contacted on the *** to query parts covered regarding the ignition not turning and that the key is locked. You were duly transferred through to claims whereby the claims agent advised that the ignition is covered and listed under the policy terms and conditions.

However – it was not specified on the exact parts needed. Therefore, claims proceeded to advise on the claims process in moving forward as we require all information detailing the causes of failure and the reported failure has to be reviewed as this determines the overall outcome of the claim.

The claim in contention was subsequently logged with Motorite on even date, 24/06/2021 whereby the repairer reported that the vehicle was brought in for the faulty lock set and ignition switch.

Motorite proceeded to reject the claim for the lock set and ignition switch as these items are not listed as covered components and are specifically excluded from the ambit of the warranty policy.

The components covered section you will see a summary of the covered components. If a component is not listed, then it is unfortunately not covered.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience herein. Kind Regards,
