T445827 unhappy client

RE: T445827

I took my car to RMI on the 14th of june 2021 to repair my car knock the engine due to no compression so ive been waiting for motorite to authorize my claim since from 14th of june until today date 1 july 2021

So RMI told that :

"Hi Dube

They are only covering R12800. Of R33 712.91 the balance is for your account.

So the reason i wrote this email, motorite authorized R12 822.25 toward a claim of R33 712.91. I was informed to pay the difference from the RMI accredited dealership. I do not have this type of money on me and that is why I took the Policy with your company.

My car is up to date with everything but this is what i get in return.

Its nice when they debit money but when it thier turn to take responsibility , they come up with some stories everytime

Id be happy if they can cover my car because i don't have money to pay for it n its still under warranty.

Dear Sir,

It should be noted that vehicles are categorised according to their age and the distance travelled at the time the policy is purchased for the vehicle, determines the plan type or benefit category as both age and distance conditions apply.

At point of sale your vehicle qualified for Benefit Category 2.

Therefore - based on the overheating benefit category app****, this repair comes with a R 12,000 maximum limit of liability.

Motorite proceeded to authorise the claim for the vehicles overheating damages under the respective overheating benefit category, up to and within the maximum limit of liability allowed by the policy, for an amount of R 12,000.00 inclusive of the lubricants and fluids under the respective benefit category for an amount of R 822.25 including VAT.

Kindly note that irrespective of the amount of damage there will be a limited amount that can be assisted with, should the benefit not cover the full amount for the repairs needed then the balance of the costs will be for your own account.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience herein. Kind Regards,
Risk Management Complaints Division
