<p>I took out an extended warrantee on my Honda Civic 2012 which should have gone into effect after the manufacturing warrantee expired exactly 3 years after I purchased my vehicle on 17 August 2015. That is when the extended warrantee should have kicked in (18 August 2015). My vehicle was flooded on 25th July 2016 and I had to wait for the insurance to decide if the vehicle should be written off. After they confirmed that it would be written off, I cancelled the Motorite policy on 4th August 2016 through Mekor Motors, where I bought the vehicle from.</p> <p>After much correspondence requesting payment from Motorite, they finally emailed me on 1st September 2016 at 08:03 confirming they would pay R5607.20. However, they had incorrectly stated that they would pay Wesbank, it should have been refunded directly to me as I paid cash for the policy. </p> <p>After disputing the fact, they suddenly reduced it to R3204.11??? So is this their way of punishing me for questioning them?</p> <p>I would like the refund for the initial amount that they promised me on 1st September 2016. Especially considering that I actually had the policy in place for less than a year.</p> <p>They do not care about being honest and paying what they owe me and have 'fobbed me off'. There is no way on God's Green Earth that I could ever recommend them to anyone.</p>
