not willing to cancel extended warranty contract
on 22nd December I called MOTORITE (the insurer for my extended warranty on the vehicle) to cancel the policy because the vehicle is sold. The want me to send them a certified copy of my ID, proof of residence and original purchase invoice of the vehicle's current owner. <br> I asked why do they need so many documents to cancel the policy esp the documents of the current owner and the manager said its a standard procedure and they also need to verify if I'm the rightful owner!!!!!<br> <br> Why would you want to verify if Im the rightful owner when you didn't verify when I took the policy? \I asked"<br> <br> Its a standard procedure. He said.<br> I had to count to 50 before uttering my response.<br> You insured me without knowing if I was the right owner"

In terms of FICA legislation, Motorite require the following documents to accompany this cancellation form, these include: 1. Certified copy of I.D and or South African driver's license. 2. Proof of residence.
3. Purchase invoice of the vehicle's current owner (Original Purchaser). 4. Proxy letter from company should the plan be in a business's name.
The above mentioned will ensure a smooth conversion of the cancellation process, Applying a risk-based approach to the verification of the relevant particulars implies that an accountable institution can accurately assess the risk involved. It also implies that an accountable institution can take an informed decision on the basis of its risk assessment as to the appropriate methods and levels of verification that should be app**** in a given circumstance .
Motorite have also investigated their exchange server and found there to be no faults on our side, please may you kindly forward the above mentioned to ***.
