Motorite - Warranty cover for items that rarely break down while we look for other ways not to cover the items that do

Don't be lured in with all the glamour of advertising and constantly being reminded that your warranty will cover you... this is not the case with Motorite.

Short story: Steer clear of this company and look at their competitors. There are a number of extended warranty companies, AVOID MOTORITE!

Long story: I made the biggest mistake by taking this policy when purchasing my vehicle in 2015.

The first red flag was that the claim was rejected due to the policy "lapsing" in October 2017. My car was a 2015 model, purchased in 2015 with a standard 3 year warranty with the manufacturer. To ensure I am safeguarded, I took an extended warranty AT DATE OF PURCHASE to ensure that my vehicle is covered after the standard warranty (like most of us do)

Once this issue was resolved, the very next problem is that the engine mount failed and is not covered in the policy. The vehicle has only been serviced at the dealership and is under 90 000km. No modifications were done to the vehicle at any stage nor was a service missed. The car is in prestine condition with the canvas roof being redone at my expense this year.

Now I am stuck with a bill, which to me should be covered by my "warranty", yet has to be covered from my own pocket... How great is that? Just before Christmas and a newborn child at home. This is why we take warranties, we have other more important things to worry about rather than our vehicles. We this policy was taken, I knew that I will be covered and these costs would not trouble me, but, here we are.

In essence, do not waste your time and money on these policies with Motorite as they look for avenues to reject claims rather than assist their customers.

I am currently in the process of full cancellation of their services and expect a FULL refund WITH interest as this policy was paid for in full upfront back in 2015.

I will keep everyone informed of how the cancellation process works as well.
