Motorite passing the buck
On the 19 th November 2013 I bought a BMW F650 GS bike and finance it through Wesbank, I also purchased a Motorite warranty thinking I`m mechanical covered.
At the beginning of June 2015 while driving the bike , I heard a noise and the bike cut out , after I tried to start the bike there were no gears, I arranged to get it home and phoned Motorite the next day. The lady told me to take the bike on my expense to a local workshop that would give me a quote to fix the bike. The lady from the workshop phoned me about a week later telling me it was the clutch and release bearing that broke .
Two weeks later a consultant from Motorite phoned me and told me sorry they don't cover the clutch, and I have to pay the full amount of R 12000.00.
I decided to go and fetch the bike and was told I have to pay R 750.00 for the quote that they gave me,
after paying the R 750 , and reading the policy booklet , it stated the clutch is covered.
So why do I have to pay for a service that stated that the item is covered but Motorite doesn't want to entertain the claim ?
