Motorite disappointing services
This is the second time I tried to put through a claim with motorite and once again have been left appalled and disappointed with their services. When you take the policy they give you false promises and yet when you need their assistance they are so useless. I would suggest nobody takes this policy as they never assist.

30 Nov 2018, 08:14Dear Sir, Motorite acknowledges receipt of this complaint received at our offices and duly noted your comments. During our investigation of this complaint it was established that no other claim has been logged other than the claim in contention logged on the 22/12/2017 at 187 362 km by Gateway Fitment Centre CC T/A Hi-Q Gateway. In this instance – the repairer reported that the vehicle was brought in with a noise coming from the suspension and requested replacement of the vehicles control arms. The normal claims procedure was followed whereby we requested the vehicles service record, written failure report and quotation. Upon receiving the requested information – Motorite proceeded to authorise the claim for the vehicles wishbones under the respective suspension benefit category, up to the maximum limit of liability allowed by the policy, for an amount of R 3,500.00 including VAT. However - the tie rod ends claimed for will not be entertained due to more than one failure at the same time which regrettably is not covered as the wishbones and tie rod ends are listed under different benefit categories, that being the suspension and steering system benefit categories respectively. Please Note: Where failure of, or damage to, any component or part that can be classified under two of the benefits or headings, the lesser benefit or amount will apply as each component falls within its own benefit category and is still subject to its own limit. We do not add the two benefit limits together to calculate the total claim amount. For example: If you have a claim for engine and suspension damage, although we treat it as one claim, each component falls within its own benefit category and is still subject to its own limit. We do not add the two benefit limits together to calculate the total claim amount. Based on this understanding, any number of failures that occur or reported simultaneously will be treated as one claim in accordance with the policy terms and conditions. Furthermore – the wheel alignment will not be entertained as this is not listed as covered within the ambit of the warranty policy.
