Motorite Avoiding payment and wasting my time
My 1.9 polo TDI broke down <br> <br> I was driving on my way home and suddenly I noticed the engine started shaking and then the car died.<br> I had my car towed in and after striping the motor they saw that I have a cracked piston.<br> <br> Now motorman is trying to avoid payment and has ordered a bunch of test on my car that is all costing me a fortune, I've sent the injectors in to be tested (cost me R1600+) and test came back clear.<br> <br> now they want a more extensive test that will again probably cost me a fortune.<br> <br> Be warned about motorite, they will try everything to dodge paying and you may look at paying a fortune for tests that you don't need, all out of your pocket <br> <br> I've been without a car for almost month now because of motorite trying to avoid payment <br>

Our records indicate that the claim was only lodged with Motorite on the 03/06/2015. Part of the claims administration process is to establish the cause of failure and in terms of this warranty - the cause of failure determines the applicable benefit category. The vehicle was independently assessed and the assessor recommended that the injectors should be tested to test the fuel supply and pressures. The initial injector test report we received was not the actual test which specifies the readings on the injectors. The written test only confirmed that 3 of the fuel injectors were found to be out of specification. We are currently waiting for an amended quote to have the claim finalized in line with the policy terms and conditions.
