Motorite Administrators

Motorite paid upfront to a service provider I had chosen for repairs to the gearbox on my vehicle on the 15th of November. Despite numerous requests for the repairers invoice to be sent to me before it was paid to check through from Treasure Baloyi, this was not done. (The repairer refused to give me a cop of the invoice due to the POPI act) Thereafter no follow up nor any report had been requested for the completion of the repairs. As at today 11.12.2019, my vehicle is still not repaired and Mr Allison Pijl, Complaints administrator for Motorite is quite happy to tell me that the repairer is waiting on a gearbox mounting but having trouble sourcing one. (which I already knew the repairer was stalling on)This information was sourced by their dealer maintenance dept. yesterday after me contacting the complaints dept. The expectation was that as a customer, I should sit back and be co-operative and patient about it and wait for however long it took for the car to be repaired. I tried to explain that the repairer was happy to be paid out, now also has my car and not making any effort to complete the job. The inconvenience felt by myself the policy holder and person paying Motorite installments was of no consequence. Favour was clearly towards the repairer. My policy also has a clause that states- the months installment will be refunded to me if the car is not repaired within 14 days of payment. Upon request of this, I was told I need to bring proof of document from the repairer that the part is on back order - nothing of this sort stated on the policy. Also in order for me to claim public transportation costs, I am required to bring computer generated proof - clearly the people that made this clause do not live in SA and have never taken a public taxi. Awaited a call from management yesterday and to date no call. No aid forthcoming at all from Motorite to put pressure on the repairer to fix my car asap but let me default on one month installment and see how efficient and pressurizing Motorite will become with their phone calls towards me to pay up.
