Employees at Motorite seem to have an indifferent attitude towards their customers. It appears to be a cultural issue within the company and is resulting in poor customer service.

Good Morning

Re: Nissan QASHQAI 1.2 ACC – Vin SJNFEAJ11Z*** (JW71BZGP)

On 16 January I experienced a mechanic fault and noise from my vehicle and decided to pass by the nearest RMI-approved dealer for assistance, SA Garage. Their mechanic inspected my vehicle and informed me that the Pulley; belt fan and alternator needed to be checked and replaced. I was advised to leave the vehicle with them to prevent further damage.

They called me the following day to give me an estimated cost after assessing the cost, I gave them details for Motorite to process a maintenance repair claim on my behalf. They have been struggling to obtain authorization after submitting all requested documents and photos, eventually on the morning of 18/01/2024 they obtained authorization to repair which was later withdrawn because the vehicle is still under warranty. This shocked me as they were supposed to check before instructing the repair workshop to strip and quote, to save time and vehicle downtime.

On 19/01/2024, I called at around 11:45 and spoke to the lady who identified as Annah, and requested to speak to the manager in the claims department. She requested my details and advised me that they declined the claim because the vehicle is still under warranty, I asked her why the right process was not followed from the beginning and the purpose of having a maintenance plan. She then transferred the phone without saying anything which is not acceptable and rude.

I would appreciate it if the Motorite senior representative could intervene and expedite the resolution of the burning matter. As I am sure you can appreciate, I rely on my car for transport and apart from the inconvenience, this problem has also caused me to incur additional costs (I have kept the receipts as proof).

I look forward to settling this matter amicably. If the matter is not satisfactorily resolved by 22 January 2024, I will consider taking further action to resolve the complaint either through Consumer Protection or the courts.

Good afternoon
Please note that my complaint has not been resolved even after they promised to attend to it.
It is almost three weeks without a car.

I don't think Motorite values consumer rights and well-being.
Warm regards
Patrick Mamabolo
