Dont take Motorite warranty . Its *******
Whats the point of having a motorite warranty? I have been told my claim has been rejected; even now im still waiting for the report explaining the reasons. You should not be covering us if your aim is to look for reasons not to pay. You should not be taking our money if you wont be helping.

Motorite has reviewed your complaint and duly noted your comments – we wish to address your complaint as follows:
The claim in contention was logged with Motorite on the 17/04/2018 at 104 654 km by Hatfield VW Braamfontein. The repairer reported that the vehicles drive shaft splines had broken off and requested replacement thereof. The normal claims procedure was followed whereby we requested the vehicles service record, written failure report and quotation.
Upon receiving the requested information – Motorite proceeded to reject the claim for the vehicles drive shafts as the visuals received confirms that the cause of failure was due to torn and leaking CV boots - as the CV boots are not listed as covered components and are specifically excluded from the ambit of the warranty policy.
Your policy wording refers:
Drive Shafts
Half shafts, side shafts, CV joints and propeller shafts, centre bearing and universal joints. Drive Shafts cover excludes propeller shaft tube and balancing;
17. Items not covered by this Policy
We are not liable for:
b) Services, maintenance items, seals, oil leaks, cambelt replacement, drive shaft boots and drive shaft failure as a result of worn or damaged boots or covers, brake and clutch friction surfaces, burnt valves, V-belts, fan belts and auxi****y equipment;
It should be noted that in terms of this policy the cause of failure determines the applicable benefit category.
Based on this understanding, where the damage or loss to a covered component is caused by the failure of a non-covered component, the failure will not be covered under your policy.
In view of the matter - Motorite remains of the opinion that your claim was administered correctly, in line with the policy terms and conditions.
