DISGUSTING !!!

We have a warranty plan with motorite.

We had our 1st claim this week. It is the value of R25 000. First claim in 5 years.

Motorite only wants to pay R3000.

The clutch flywheel and other parts got damaged.

I really feel that this is very very unfair.

If motorite dont want to pay this complete claim i want all my premiums back for the whole period of being a customer as i never ever claimed and now that i do claim you are only prepared to pay R3000 which is not even half of the complete claim.

Please urgently know what you decide as i will take this to the Ombudsman if not sorted out urgently.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Motorite has reviewed your complaint and duly noted your comments– we wish to address your complaint as follows:

The product that forms the basis of this complaint is a WesBank Prestige mechanical breakdown warranty underwritten by Infiniti Insurance Ltd. of which Motorite Administrators (Pty) Ltd. act as the appointed claims administrator. The policy provides cover for the failure of specified mechanical and electrical components subject to the policy terms and conditions being adhered to whereby the applicable limits of liability apply. The policy incepted on the 25/03/2016 at 187 000 km and runs for a period of 2 years.

The sale of this mechanical breakdown warranty was facilitated telephonically through a mandated intermediary. We have noted as per the copy of policy sent via email, it would appear that the relevant policy terms and conditions were duly issued at point of sale.

The claim in contention was logged with Motorite on the 16/03/2018 at 253 980 km. The repairer reported that the vehicle came in for a knocking noise and that the clutch required repair/replacement. The normal claims procedure was followed whereby we requested the vehicles service record, written failure report and quotation.

Upon receiving the requested information – Motorite proceeded to approve the claim for the vehicles clutch in accordance with the policy terms and conditions and up to the maximum amount allowed under the relative benefit category, that being the clutch benefit for an amount of R 3 000.00 VAT inclusive.

Motorite are under obligation to administer the policy in accordance with the policy term and conditions as set out by the insurer.

In view of the matter - Motorite remains of the opinion that your claim was administered correctly, in line with the policy terms and conditions.

Kind Regards

Best regards,
