14 Nov 2018, 11:39 Dear Sir, This letter serves to confirm that we have reviewed the merits of your complaint received on the 13/11/2018. The product that forms the basis of this complaint is a WesBank Motorway Special Extension service plan administered by Motorite Administrators (Pty) Ltd. The service plan provides cover for the routine services as scheduled by the manufacturer. The service plan incepted on the 29/04/2017 at 88 000 km and runs for a period of 2 years and up to 128 000 km - the expiry of this plan is dependent on whichever is reached first. The claim in contention was logged with Motorite on the 12/11/2018 at 113 628 km by Trust Absolut Auto (Pty) Ltd T/A Peugeot Citroen Centurion for the vehicles 120 000 km scheduled service. The repairer reported that the spark plugs and air filter require replacement. The normal claims procedure was followed whereby we requested the quotation thereof. Upon receiving the requested information – Motorite proceeded to authorise the claim for the vehicles 120 000 km scheduled service. However, the air filter and spark plugs were duly rejected as our records indicate that these components were previously replaced on the vehicles 100 000 km annual service under claim authorization J***. It is pertinent to mention that – as per the manufacturers handbook and specifications: Only “replace” or “R” items at a specified service interval; All “inspect” or “I” items are not covered. In view of the matter - Motorite remains of the opinion that your claim was administered correctly, in line with the policy terms and conditions. Should you not be happy with the outcome, you are at liberty to seek further recourse that is made available to you. Thereafter you may institute legal proceeding within 180 Days of receipt of this letter, failing which we will have no further liability in terms of this policy. Should you require any further details, please feel free to contact the Risk Management Complaints Division. Kind Regards, Risk Management Complaints Division Tel No: *** Facsimile: *** Email: ***
