Claims paid but no follow up to check if the work has been done

To Whom IT May Concern

I have and am a paid up member of the motorite vehicle engin warentee for a good couple of years now and have two claims which have been approved, excellent work , which I am very grateful for.

However since my last claim my car has still not been right.

My car went to BC Auto's who eventually took the car to German Autos. German Autos than came back with a report saying that the oil pump to my car needs to be replaced, and they sent a claim request through to Motorite at which stage an assessor was sent out to evaluate the pump. the assessor than assessed that the oil pump needs replacement and the claim was than approved. We in turn waited for a couple of weeks for the oil pump as Mercedes didn't have stock. we than waited on the car and a serious of events occured.

1) German Autos didnt have the correct tools to remove the gears on CGI which resulted in BC Autos being called in and attend to the CGI gears, they in turn called in someone else who n turn had to come remove the gears.

2) After a serious of events and almost two months later we finally received our car. We were on holiday and requested that my brother in law collect he car and take it to my house.

3) Upon our return from our holiday the following day,my brother in law told me that whilst he was driving home which is approximately 10 kilometers away from the workshop tyhe car sarted making the same noise it did prior to the oil pump replacement.

4) I than tried to stat the car and realised the battery was flat. I called battery centre who in turn came out to start the car and i went to the battery centre a couple of kilometers away from my house , upon my arrival i was told by the guys at battery centre that there is an oil leak on my car, i than said that i will call the workshop and have it attended to.

I than embarked to collect my wife at work as i dropped her there on our way back from holiday, to my dismay whilst still in table view the car oil light went on and a smell of oil could me found, I than called a tow truck service and had my car collected and dropped at work.

5) than called German Autos and took the car to them, they than established that there was something missing on the gear box and it was gearbox oil that is leaking and they than got a little stopper to stop the leak.

6) I than had the car back at home for two days and the noise on the engin was just increasing, and was told that it was the work executed by BC Autos guys that resulted or caused this my problem is that was the noise the car went in for.

7) After much fighting with the workshops in concern i was told that the timing on the belt was out hence the noise.

8) We than had someone come in and set the timing however we where told that the oil pressure is not building up properly hence the noise.

9) I than took the car to Mercedes Benz in Century city and the manager told me there is too much issues on the car and suggested that i take the car to Mercedes Centre in Ottery.

10) The report came back from Mercc centre and they have indicated hat the oil oil pump contains metal and is old, also the tapet cover has no been changed and various other issues.

I have been told by Motorite that they will not aprove the claim as it is a result of the previous work already done on the vehicle.

My concern at his stage is that i know nothing about cars except as to how to drive it and mechanically wouldnt know if anything was actually done on my car.

I would assume that when monies get paid these companies some follow up and checks will be done with the workshops to ensure that these vehicles run smoothly, and has been repaired.

I have spoken to German Autos saying they did change the oil pump, but i cannot fight with these guys they have attorneys and will drag this out as far as they can, its now been six months and my car is still not driving.

I have also been told that Motorite will not get involved with these matters, however the workshop provide a year garentee on there part, in this case they contesting that they did anything wrong and frankly i dont trust them to have my car back there.

I request that you aprove this claim as i cannot see any light at the end of this tunnel
