Claim ongoing for 2 months

The worst service I have received from a service provider for services that I have paid for. I have a claim that has not been resolved for 2 months now claim handled by James Wethmar, claim submitted on 29/4/2021.

Williams Hunt Fourways diagnosed the vehicle as overheated and all required pictures were sent as well. I was advised that my service book was not stamped for the 105 000km, but I had taken the vehicle for a on the 21/12/2020 before travelling for December holidays at Peugeot Fourways which has since been closed.

I contacted Peugeot Customer Care for assistance and they advised that they could not assist as they only have information when the car was still under their Service Plan which ended 2017 and information is not stored when it is a cash payment as it between the dealer and customer. They informed me that the branch was closed in February 2021 and no longer exists.

I then provided my personal statement which reflects a partial payment that was done at Peugeot Fourways on the 21/12/2020 as I had lost the invoice. I was advised that is not enough as the invoice was needed, which is contravening Motorite’s “Keep proof of service history” which stats that a receipt or invoice may be required in the event of a claim and a statement should be considered as a receipt.

I was then subjected to do an oil test at my own cost as I was advised by James that the underwriters would only consider the approval based on the oil test results as the reason for the car overheating is a service, which still puzzles me till today as Williams Hunt never found that to be the reason or cause for the vehicle overheating.

The oil test has been done and results sent to James on 21/6/2021 who has decided not to acknowledge nor respond to my emails and the dealerships emails requesting feedback, as we have followed every request from Motorite.
