Cancellation - Difficult & Irrelevant Info

I sold the car that was covered. I am trying to cancel a policy that was taken out over the phone. Now they request forms to be completed, FICA and financing information. For what? This company has nothing to do with any financing! This was mechanical cover for a very old car. Even if I still had the car, why can I not simply cancel the policy if I choose to do so?

I am not interested in their million stories. The info required they must have on file. If they don't have it on file, they never requested it in the first place. Why do they want it now?

My opinion is that they are making cancellation unnecessarily difficult and complicated so that they can continue deducting premiums - in other words *****ing my money - hiding behind legislation.
Hello bosseau,

Dear Sir,

Motorite has reviewed your complaint and noted your comments. The cancellation process requires us to validate that we are in fact dealing with the customer whom originally signed the agreement at point of sale, in terms of FICA legislation, we need to obtain these documents to verify that indeed this is the case. This is by no means a delay tactic and, or done in any way to inconvenience you, we have to ensure that all this documentation is obtained and substantiated in line with FICA and our cancellation requirements. Please feel free to contact us should you require to further discuss.
