Business full of ****s!
This is a business that will **** you. The sales person promises you the world. They promise to cover everything, just like the original motor plan you had. This is false. All of a sudden my policy “inception date” is on 100000 km only...this was never communicated, and my car only has 69000km in 5 years. I will never get to 100000km within the 2 years that this policy runs. This is pure *****ing. Letting me pay for a policy...that will never pay. I will take this further. Oh, and they also don’t pay for diagnosing your car.
Try to call them and you will NEVER get an answer at the claims department. You will hold FOREVER.

09 Jan 2020, 16:45Dear Sir, Motorite has reviewed your complaint and duly noted your comments. It is pertinent to mention that should it be necessary to disassemble any component to establish the cause or extent of the damage, it is your responsibility to authorise such disassembly so as to establish whether there is any liability under your vehicle’s policy. In the event that the claim is not covered, the cost for the disassembly to ascertain the cause of failure will be for your own account or, where the cause of breakdown and parts are not covered; however, you are entitled to a quotation before approving such costs and we will not proceed to strip without your authorisation of the quotation. In addition – the manufacturer’s plan was in place on the vehicle for 5 years from 0 km to 100 000 km from date of vehicles first date of registration ( 20/07/2014 ) The manufacturer’s plan expired on the 20/07/2019 (before reaching 100 000 km) and therefore the extended band of cover had to incept on the mileage the vehicle had on, on that date. Therefore, an addendum is processed to amend the inception date or kilometres of the extended plan, to whichever occurred first. It is pertinent to mention that in an instance where another plan will only incept after expiry of the built-in manufacturer’s plan, an addendum would need to be processed. In order to proceed with such we would require proof of your vehicles service history in order to complete the addendum process. Please Note; An Addendum is a process we utilise to update/amend the inception date or mileage on an extended plan or policy in accordance to an expired manufacturer’s plan/policy or any other previous plan/policy that was previously in place on the vehicle. Again, we are in no way changing the band of cover, we are simply running the maintenance extension on expiry of the built-in plan. We are looking forward to receiving the requested at your earliest convenience so that we can quickly and efficiently finalize this process for you. We hope this is sufficient to solve the issue and clear any remaining inconvenience. Kind Regards,

09 Jan 2020, 17:31This is a very long explanation for something that should have been done right from the start! It goes without saying that you want to cover your car from the date that the built-in plan expires. Its sold to people as an extension from where the built in plan expires. You guys literally phoned me the day my build in policy expired. There should not be an additional process in order for my cover to kick in. This prolongs my waiting time...having no car. Why would anyone pay for a policy that only kicks in 30000km from now anyway? Can someone please contact me as trying to contact you is fruitless.

An addendum is an additional document not included in the main part of the contract. It is an ad hoc item. It details the specific terms, clauses, sections and or definitions to be changed in the original contract but otherwise leaves it in full force and effect.
