Bad service.

I recently taken a extended service plan with them seeing that my car is pre owned and was contacted by the engine room. According to the sales agent the service plan would have been active last week Tuesday 30th March 2021. as requested by the plan the car needed to go in for the service and i arranged it with a RMI approved dealer. when the dealer enquired with the provider, no details could be found. i contacted the service provided again and the only response was apologies. This morning after being ensured that the service plan is now active, i took my car for the 135000 km service as per the service book. the dealer requested approval from the claims department, supp**** all the required documents needed by motorite and only received feedback just after 14:00 today that the car cannot be serviced at the 135000 interval and that the service needs to be done only at a 140000 km. i since contacted the call center and currently holding for 45 minutes. Not even the supervisor picks up the call. This is bad service. i will reach out to wesbank to cancel due to this.

Dear Sir,                                                                                                                                                             This letter serves to confirm that we have reviewed the merits of your Hello Peter complaint received on the 07/04/2021 and it is with great concern we received your e-mail outlining the problem you had with our service, as a service driven organisation, Motorite goes to great lengths to provide service excellence to all our valued customers. After a thorough review of your case, we noted that the sale of the WesBank used service plan was facilitated telephonically through an independent company called, The Engine Room Direct Solutions (Pty) Ltd. whereby the product was marketed and sold to you.  It is pertinent to mention that with WesBank sold plans and/or policies, upon receipt of a valid sale does the sale thereof take 24 to 48 hours to be finance approved against your vehicle asset and finance account. In addition - with the Policy Holder Protection Rules, Motorite has 30 days within which to have the plan loaded and a profile created in order to have the respective fulfillment pack released. It is important to note that as per the manufacturer’s specifications, your vehicle has a standard service interval of every 15 000 km or 12 months whichever occurs first with the applicable service leeway’s being 2 000 km or 90 days either side of the service parameter reached first, that being time or kilometres. Our records indicate that upon receiving your vehicles service record we established that your vehicles last service, the 120 000 km scheduled service was done on the 21/10/2020 at 125 590 km and that the vehicle has only travelled 10 217 km since then. Please note that the vehicle’s 135 000 km service is due at 140 590 km or on the 21/10/2021, excluding leeway’s - whichever occurs first. Regrettably, there can be no claim as the service is not due on your vehicle.

Kind Regards,

Dear Sir,  Claims management have advised that based on service done the previous year indicates vehicle only travelled 10 000 km from that service , but we can assist assuming the new client (yourself) is bringing services back on the interval.  A claims agent has been allocated to assist further with the authorisation to be app****.  Kind Regards,

Thank you for the feedback. However, the vehicle’s next service as per the book is 135 000 km. I have bought the vehicle pre owned. What the previous owner did does not apply to me as I follow the rules.According to the motorite agreement the vehicle needs to be services according to the book. The previous owner took to vehicle in for the previous service. This does not pertain to my circumstance purchasing the vehicle. I have asked the service agent if my vehicle should be serviced As per communication between the service agent of the engine room and myself. I cannot be held responsible for the outsourcing of work to a third party company if they made promises on your behalf. It was communicated to me that the plan would have been loaded and active in 24 to 48 hours, no mention was made to a 30 day loading and creating period. I expect the communication to be clear and accurate, not as it is now. My vehicle is currently at the service dealer for the service. Please advice as this is unfair to expect me to pay for a service if I follow the rules and the communication on point of sales was unclear and incorrect from the sales agent. Please advice urgently
