Bad Financial Advise
I'm trying to buy a extended warranty though motorite/wesbank. When i told the consultant (Christa) that i have the cash to purchase the policy outright i was not encouraged to do so NOR made aware that financing costs would apply if were to rather have it financed.
In addition, the paper work i signed did not detail the financing costs, i.e. interest on the monthly amount, for the finance option.
Trying to get this fixed but now they are cancelling the contract - its just all a massive mess!

Dear Sir
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to further investigating your complaint.
The sale of this mechanical breakdown warranty was facilitated telephonically through a mandated intermediary called The Engine Room Direct Solutions (Pty) Ltd. Upon analysing the sales voice recording, you were provided with two payment options, either paying cash for the policy or loading it on to your vehicles finance account. Our records indicate that you opted for the policy to be loaded on to your vehicle finance account.
It was further noted that according to the quote signed and received by yourself, dated the 31/10/2017, it clearly specified that the policy would be added on to your vehicles finance account.
On the 01/11/2017 you requested for the policy to be removed from your finance account as you now opted to go with the cash option.
Please note that your finance house has been informed that you no longer wish to have the product loaded on to your finance account, they have agreed to cancel this transaction.
We have been made aware that the telesales agent has been in contact with you to facilitate the cash purchase of the policy.
We trust that the above clarifies however if any of the above is unclear to you, please feel free to contact us in this regard.
Kind regards
