Any EXCUSE not to PAY!!!!!!!

My car recently suffered a mechanical breakdown. My policy covers mechanical breakdowns today i got notified by the repairer that motorite is refusing to pay my claim because it is not what my policy covers. I have purchased numerous policies with motorite and keep getting hounded with phone calls to take up their new products i will never take another motorite policy or refer and businesses like i have done in the past to motorite and I will advise they move their business elsewhere, My car overheated last week and i have been without a vehicle for 2 weeks waiting for motorite to sort out my vehicle. They have not once called or messaged me about any rejection of the claim put through to them. I had to call them and find out today why they are rejecting my claim and for them to tell me that the cause is not covered i.e. the water pipe bracket came loose which caused a loose pipe to damage my fan. This was not caused by negligence on my side or any external factors the water pipe is not even damaged... My car was not even assessed properly by them they have used assumptions!!!. Pathetic service from Motorite and staff has caused me much inconvenience. I have called their call centre and have not got any help as they make sure they do not pay any claims. My repairer is baffled that they have not paid out this claim as they have paid out in the past for a similar issue on another vehicle. I have a plan which they offer that is more expensive than others and expect good service and value for money which motorite is refusing to deliver.

Dear Sir,

Motorite has reviewed this complaint and noted the policy holder’s comments.

The repairer verbally reported that your vehicles radiator fan was faulty and required to be replaced. The normal claims procedure was followed whereby we requested the vehicles service record, written failure report and quotation.

It is important to note and is worth mentioning that Motorite has in its employment qualified motor vehicle technicians that form part of our claims department and claims management team respectively. All reports supp**** are analysed in detail whereby a final decision is made, based on visuals, technical correctness, experience and factual information.

Upon receiving the requested information – Motorite proceeded to reject the claim in contention as the cause of failure was confirmed to be the water hose bracket failing, causing the hose to jam the cooling fan thus resulting in the fan to burn out. The claim was administered in accordance with the policy terms and conditions which refers:

Mechanical Breakdown - this term refers to the sudden and unforeseen actual breaking of listed parts only. this term does not refer to parts that are not broken and are replaced during repairs. the cause of the failure determines the applicable benefit.

Motorite remains of the opinion that the claim was administered correctly and in line with the policy terms and conditions.

Kind Regards,

Motorite Administrators (Pty) Ltd

If an assessor was sent out according to your claims procedure then you would have noticed using your qualified motor technicians that my vehicle has 2 fans which both are not working... the water pipe which u assume caused this issue is not damaged, Motorite has not once contacted me on their own accord and have not helped at all in this process but a very quick to take their clients’ Money for a service they do not and will not provide. I will be proceeding with the ombudsman on this issue if i do not get the proper treatment that a customer should receive from a pathetic and assumption filled company

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your feedback, your comments have been duly noted.

Kindly note that Motorite are not obligated to appoint an assessor at any point, furthermore your preferred repairer reported the following:

"The Plastic Clip That Holds This Pipe Broke Thus Allowing The Pipe To Make Contact With The Fan"

As mentioned previously - All reports supp**** are analysed in detail whereby a final decision is made, based on visuals, technical correctness, experience and factual information.

In view of the matter – we remain of the opinion that the claim was rejected correctly and in line with your policy terms and conditions. You are at liberty to pursue the matter further through the office of the Short Term Insurance Ombudsman.

Kind Regards,

Motorite Administrators (Pty) Ltd

Your opinion as you have referred to will unfortunately not be accepted due to the fact that i have been without a car FOR 2 WEEKS due to a process which does not meet the needs of the client which is me. YOUR OPINION TO REJECT THE CLAIM WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!

The arrogance showed by Charl in this claim was offensive as i do not appreciate being talked down to as a "valued client" as referred to previously by your sales consultant that sold this policy to me. MOTORITE HAS NO REGARD FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE i do not even know what service they offer since i am getting no assitance and have not recieved a call once by any of the employees of MOTORITE i am wasting valuable time as i feel 2 weeks is an unnaceptable time frame for motorite to be decide on whether to reject my claim or not. you have my details MOTORITE please use it to maintain good business ethics and not only to market your products to me.
