Stay away from Motroads in Sofia and avoid any business with them

<p>For the first time I was renting a car in Bulgaria - otherwise I have plenty of experience based on regular car renting for trips in Canada and US ( rented from Enterprise, Budget and Hertz). Here is my short and unfortunate story. After quick search on the web this company name popped up and after reading FAQ, going through their car fleet I proceeded to give it a try.(it might be that when we are used to car renting with big company names as mentioned above somehow we lost the guard against the petty ********). Using Motoroads online form for car rent booking I found that they presented their policy (written with bigger letters that book cancellation is FREE (small footprint of course - booking fee would be refunded if cancelled 24 hr before car collection) - well that is OK and understandable said to myself). Identical claim on book cancellation and refunding you can find also in their FAQ. (And of course - my plan was not to cancel the booking at all. By default you accept what you read is the case and no hidden clauses!) Proceeded to book by filing their online car renting booking form and providing them with my credit card info. But a very bad surprise - when they returned a voucher by e-mail there was a statement that booking cancellation in fact is not refundable which is exactly opposite of the original car rent booking form. Well I said to myself - something very fishy is going on here obviously! But money was taken, card is charged and me as a customer has e-mail explaining just the opposite on the claim on the online booking form (and the FAQ in fact) ! Naturally after such blatant misleading on very first contact with them further dealing with them would impose big risks - so definitely I will not trust them. So I sent them a letter to cancel my booking right the way in less then 24 hours after they sent me the voucher. And I asked for full refund as I cancelled in written note 17 (seventeen) days before car rental date.</p>
