Sudden outstanding balance

I cancelled my contract at the Motion Fitness over two years ago. Now all of a sudden I am getting an email from Siyanela Mahobe stating the following: Your motion fitness membership account is in arrears ,please make payment to avoid any more charges on the account as it is handed over to the legal department, failure to make payment will affect your credit record and you will be updated at the credit bureau as a none payer.

this is the first message after TWO and A HALF year that I am getting from them, NO phone calls, NO Invoices, NO communications!!!!!!!!!!! I have not been to their gym in over two years. I cancelled via the call center. I will not pay that money! This is unprofessional and totally unacceptable.
