Cheating builder St Helena Bay

I want to share our awful experience with a builder. Kristo Mostert in St Helena Bay. The sole reason for doing this is to possibly spare others within the community from going through the same ordeal that we did. Doing it for the 'greater good' of the West Coast community. We moved to St Helena Bay last year July 2021 and after considering various builders for a project that entailed the enclosure of our front stoep, we appointed Kristo Mostert to do the job for us. The long and short of this story is that we ended up paying R160924 (after the quote increased mid-way because of reported increase of storage of materials). It was then brought to our attention by another contractor that the roof had various defects, amongst others the pitch that was too low, etc. We could see from photos and a technical report provided by the last mentioned contractor that the work done on the roof was clearly sub-standard. This report costed us R1250. With the first heavy rains that we had after Kristo completed the job the roof leaked heavily. We tried endlessly to get Kristo to admit his wrongdoing and correct it but he refused. That's when we asked the second builder to give us a quote to correct the faults. A further R47475 later the ceiling caved in and the roof leaked again. We were sadly conned by two contractors within the local and we're left with a ***** roof as a result of ***********, dishonest builders.
