I engaged Elvis Ngonyolo trading as Mosik Holding Pty Ltd, after finding him through the Bark platform in February 2026 for a building project at my home. After meeting with him in person, we agreed on a total project cost of 146,000 with a six week completion period. I paid a deposit of 75,000, followed by a further 45,000 in March for materials. The total amount paid to him was 120,000. Shortly after receiving the second payment, the contractor became increasingly unresponsive and ultimately stopped communicating altogether. The project was effectively abandoned, with approximately 90% of the work still outstanding, and no further work was done despite the repeated attempts to contact him. I discovered that the business address provided on the quotation does not exist. Due to the abandonment of the project, I had no option but to appoint another contractor at my own cost to prevent further damage and delays. I have since reported the matter to my bank and to the NHBRC. I am sharing this experience on Hello Peter to alert other consumers to exercise extreme caution for this contractor as he is a total ****mer.
