Unfair dismissal of an unregistered company

To Whom It May Concern

My son is 20 years of age and has been employed at a Company called Mortlock since middle January of this year. Since this week and Monday his boss Mr. Bentley Mortlock advised him that he should not come into work because of Financial reasons.

As the week progressed he kept on calling my son that he should still not come into work.

Today 20th March 2020 at approximately 11:35 Mr Mortlock pulls up at our home and beckons my son to speak to him. He then fires my son on the spot.

On enquiry I was told that according to him my son stole his tools, an ellen key to be exact.

To my knowledge if that was the case then why not address the situation immediately and either decide on giving a warning but instead he kept my son at bay and eventually decided to fire him.

My son, Alessandro Davids, is a semi-s****ed motor mechanic who had had many hours of hands on experience and was employed by this company as a motor mechanic. He was paid R800 a week with no payslip only a brown envelope with his initials on it.

According to me Mortlock is not a registered company therefore there are no legitimate payslips and the procedure of how things were handled is proposterous.

His business is located in the Hive next to Blackheath Station, Western Cape.
