Service Centre Complaint: Undue Vehicle Battery Swap

Hi there, On the 26th Nov 2020, I delivered my vehicle at Mortimer Toyota Bethlehem service centre for its first service with the following details: Registration: JF 92 MH GP Model: Hilux Double Cab, Hilux DC 2.4 GD Chassis No.: AHTJB8DD*** EngineNo.: 2GDC605353 Kilometres: 7616 Service Advisor: Bobby Rooiland Service Consultant: T.B.C During the service, only gasket sump plug, oil filter, consumables and Engine oil (10w30) were advised to have been replaced. Upon my collection (16h00), the vehicle was in the wash-bay. The service consultant requested one of the drivers to remove the car from the wash-bay, and the driver indicated that he will need an extra hand to push start the vehicle. This became an alarming operation, I then notified the consultant that what has happened is unusual and enquired with him on why the vehicle battery is discharged? He did not provide a clear answer. The exterior car inspection checklist was conducted and signed. Unfortunately, I was travelling back to Johannesburg, and did not experience anything along the way. It has now being several days and had to push start the vehicle every time I used during the past weekend. Therefore, I would like to lay a complaint against the above service centre that my vehicle battery was swapped. This is a one year old vehicle and is not my day-to-day mobility vehicle. The vehicle has never given me any battery problems, whatsoever. The following comments have been observed: - The vehicle manufactory “white top” battery was swapped with a “black top” battery; - The battery terminal nuts show that they have been disturbed; - The red and blue paint marker on the bolts are not at the same position; and - The hold down clamp nuts have scratchy marks. Kindly, I would like to request for your assistance.
