FORD RANGER REPAIRS

FORD RANGER 2:2 6 speed purchased on the 31st May 2017 for R 230 000 cash.

On the 16 June 2017 on a trip from Estcourt to Bergville the vehicle started blowing out lots of smoke. I immediately stopped the vehicle and got the vehicle towed in to Mortimer Toyota in Estcourt.

Mortimer Toyota manager later called me to inform me that I must pay R 20 000 for the vehicle injector to be repaired and that these repairs would cost a total of R 23 000.

I do not believe that I should have to pay for repairs of this nature for a relatively new vehicle only two weeks after I took delivery of the vehicle.

As a compromise and a way forward I proposed to the Mortimer manager that Mortimer should take the vehicle back and return the amount I paid for it of R 230 000 less the amount of R 20 000. He refused.

It has now been 7 months since The vehicle was taken to Mortimer Toyota in Estcourt and the vehicle has not been repaired.
